Food still good, service indifferent

I've eaten here a number of times and have always been very impressed, so I was a little surprised to read some of the negative comments in the other reviews. I recently went again and whilst the food was as good as ever (fresh, well cooked with an imaginative menu) the service was, on this occasion, decidedly indifferent.
