Killer Sushi, but the noodles are just dead!

Teri-AkiÖ everyone seems to have an opinion on this lovely little quayside parlour! Iíve been a few times and sampled both the main dishes and the sushi, and hereís what I think:
Main dishes: these are *not* good. Theyíre small, bland, and to be honest I can make something better in 10 minutes with a wok at home. To top this off theyíre expensive and over-priced. Iím not impressed and wouldn't ever order them againÖ
Having said that the sushi is *incredible*! I canít recommend it enough, and Iím gong to ignore the noodles and talk about the sushi for the rest of the review.
The service is quirky, thatís for sure. I get the impression that the staff are so keen to help that theyíve overdone it and ended up the wrong side of helpful. Not to worry, it amuses me, to some it might annoy. Theyíll certainly do their best to help you out. Also, because the sushi is made by their chef and not from a packet (thank god!) itís quite slow. In my opinion if you want good sushi then youíll have to wait, thatís just how it is. No explanation for why the other courses take so long though...
These criticisms aside the place is fantastic! Youíre paying for the setting on the quayside, and the great décor and in my opinion: itís worth it.
The price (of sushi) is very very reasonable. The individual platters provide a good choice while the combo gives a good variety and without a doubt is enough for a full meal (although I wasnít a fan of one of the options selectedÖ I think it was squid and it was too hard).
Bar is well stocked and has a smoking section. Japanese beers on tap (which are superb, Iíd never tried one of them until now).
Overall, I suggest you go and try this place, because itís not to everyoneís taste. Noodles are a no-no for sure but the sushi is divine, thatís about what it comes down to! Myself, Iíll always come back to this one, itís a keeper.
Taste: 9 (sushi, no the main courses)
Authenticity: - (canít comment, never been to Japan)
Price: 9 (again, the sushi not the noodles)
